Reviewed
Welcome to the Reviewed feature of Myth's affiliates section. The affiliates in this section are recommended by the Artistic Director, but rather than just plonking them there and asking you to take our word for it, we have this page so you know why they've been recommended to begin with.
If you'd like to recommend a RPG for review (your own RPG or otherwise), PM The Shadow or post in Affiliate with a url, though please only do so if the RPG...
1. Has been active for over two months
2. Is accessible and free of glitches and broken images
3. Either utilises an original RPG concept or is of exceptionally high quality
4. Has well-written and understandable guides to the RPG
Crosswind

Crosswind is a RPG about a breed of creature on the outskirts of the norm. Lykos are pitched as being strange and mythical -- something we might see in our peripheral vision, or hear nightmarish stories about as kids. To my mind, that's the best reason to roleplay a lykos -- they're not part of the common bulk. Given that the lykos are wolves that can occasionally take on the illusional facade of human appearance, I would call this a wolf RPG. And it is one clearly founded on a bright imagination. The Game Guide is especially inspired, but its long and purely textual content, paired with the confusing navigation of the website and forum combined, might scare off an audience that could help it reach its utmost potential.
Souls

Souls, which has existed since 2001 under its erstewhile title Bleeding Souls, is as innovative today as it was at its conception. It's a wolf and werewolf (known on Souls as Luperci) RPG that became known for its darker aura in the face of lighter and less daring RPGs. Souls has never been afraid to push the boundaries of gritty roleplay, but that's not to say it's some emo dungeon - the community is friendly, close-knit and as active as ever. If you've got a character you never want to let go, you're in safe hands with Souls. To me, its most distinguishing feature has always been that its characters exhibit the most long-term and rich family connections I've ever seen in a play-by-post RPG.
